Work history

About me

Having now retired from corporate activity, I am now focused on my third sector activities - in particular leveraging both my executive commercial expertise and my practical geographic experience, especially in Africa.

I have extensive executive management experience in the IT, Management Consultancy and Media industries. This includes over 10 years working across sub-Saharan Africa.

My current activities include:

Trustee - Dig Deep Africa - Safe water and sanitation provision to children and their families in Bomet County, Kenya

Trustee - Kijana Kwanza - Protecting and educating vulnerable youth around Moshi, Tanzania

Trustee - African Youth Development Association (AYDA) - London and Cameroon - Development of young people of African heritage with a particular emphasis on the protection of young females

In the UK I am currently Chairman of the Wimbledon Windmill Museum and Head of Operations for Wimbledon in Sporting History - both volunteer roles. I have previously been Governor of Southwark College and COO of the Museum of Wimbledon.

Previously at GTV I worked closely with the charity Right To Play on their schemes in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana as our chosen third sector partner.

What am I looking for

I am keen to offer my commercial expertise and Media experience in helping charities focused on educational, social and environmental development in Africa. This could be in a strategic advisory capacity, mentoring, advocacy or practical operation in country leveraging my appreciation of the challenges involved in SSA and my various contacts in country.
