As an experience senior leader in traditional and alternative higher and further education, my skills are in the leadership and management of developing curricula, with a specific focus of developing digital learning (online).
Throughout my career I have been motivated to make a difference in the education of vocational students, pushing boundaries and being a disruptor in the development and delivery of global education. For many years I have coached and mentored colleagues and students alike, imparting my knowledge and skills to grow talent across a broad range of people and subjects.
As a leader in alternative education providers I have experience of budget management, change management (including line management), quality assurance, business continuity, risk management and achievement of performance targets inline with strategic goals and business planning. I am a data inquisitive and have experience of business analysis, re-engineering and the use of data to inform decisions.
A standout project for me is the ongoing collaboration with the Prince’s Foundation in the development of a suite of course developed for civic leaders and planning professional to support training and development needs of rapid urbanisation of ‘secondary cities’ across the Commonwealth.
I am passionate about education equality, lifelong learning and breaking down educational barriers.
As a teacher and educational leader, I am motivated to help people develop and grow whether that be in their professional or personal capacity. Having over 20yrs’ experience in education and 16yrs as an IT professional, I am now at the stage of my career where I feel I want to share experience and knowledge to benefit others, making a difference institutionally and to people’s performance and life chances. I have experience of being a staff governor, and previously been an external board member. I’m now looking for my first role as a trustee or continuing to an sit as an institution as board member.
