I am a finance professional with over 15 years work experience. I am a qualified Actuary and CFA charterholder specialising in the pensions sector, where I advise pension scheme trustees and sponsors on pensions and investment matters relating to the running of the pension scheme. I am passionate about ensuring that I use my knowledge and expertise to secure the pension benefits of members, especially in the current area where many employers have suffered long lasting losses due to COVID-19.
I have significant experience in research, business development, investment concepts, data analysis as well as writing strategic and advisory papers putting together a thesis. I am also an expert in Microsoft Office.
Through the volunteering programs provided by the companies where I have worked, I have taken up several opportunities to volunteer and contribute to the society. Coming from humble beginnings in Kenya, I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to further my education in the UK and earn my professional qualifications. I am currently pursuing some additional learning in how I can help the world become a sustainable place by raising awareness of and tackling the social and environmental issues existing in our day to day lives. I want to continue giving back as much as I can for the people and our planet.
Protecting our planet has never been more important. Climate change, global warming, biodiversity loss, exploitation of natural resources are issues that we must all tackle as members of the society. I have recently completed the sustainability course provided by the CFA Institute in order to further enhance my working knowledge in this field. I am keen to volunteer in this area, and wish to raise further awareness and make a difference.
I am also happy to volunteer in other areas where I can make a direct impact in people's lives and contribute to their well being.
