For most of my career, I have been involved in the education arena; this has included classroom teaching, adult education, and community education.
I have extensive experience in using ICT in an educational setting. I have acted as an ICT consultant to 6 Academies and 3 One School Pathfinder projects. Prior to this, I worked for Becta on the Academies team; this role involved overseeing the development of 41 multi-million-pound Academies, signing off visions and procurement strategies, I also oversaw the ICT project managers. I am committed to ensuring the highest quality of ICT is used to support teaching and learning.
From November 2011 to February, I joined Ormiston Academies Trust as the acting Head of E-Learning. I then moved to become a Capital Build Programme Advisor for the trust’s capital build programme of 10 academies. The role was mostly around the ICT elements of these projects but also involved representing the Trust at design coordination meetings. Gradually during 2014 as the capital build programme came to an end my role migrated to supporting the Ormiston Trust Academies with their School Condition Allocation and managing the building's health and safety compliance across the trust.
As the pandemic hit early in 2020 my role reverted to ICT managing the laptops for pupil’s programme across the Trust. This project was successful in distributing more than 8,000 laptops to pupils across the trust.
Interested in supporting charities in IT or Health and Safety compliance.
