Work history

About me

I have been a fundraising professional for the past 20 years, having worked for predominantly disability organisations overseeing multiple areas of fundraising. I began my career managing one of the three largest Direct Dialogue programmes (at NDCS) in the sector recruiting c60k new regular donors per annum. I have since worked for nationally and local charities managing teams raising income from c£200K to over £2m.

In addition, I have given my support to small, medium and large organisations in a voluntary capacity, having acted as Chair for Our Voice Enfield (local Parent Participation group) for 6 years before standing down and returning a number of years later as the organisations paid Coordinator. More recently I have sat as an Assembly Member (2 year term) of Scope’s Advisory Board and since 2017 I have been a Parent Carer Trustee for The National Bobath Cerebral Palsy Centre. In my time as Trustee for The National Bobath Cerebral Palsy Centre we have merged with the adult charity, rebranded and restructured the team and moved premises. All have thrown up various challenges and required increased Trustee time which I have been in a position to offer.

I think I can offer organisations a level head, fundraising expertise and a fresh perspective. I am and will always be committed to volunteering opportunities as a way of engaging with my local community.

What am I looking for

I am a parent of an 18 year old daughter with Cerebral Palsy and I have a particular interest in Special Education Needs and Disability issues - I am a fundraising professional and would be able to offer support in this area, particularly individual giving, trust and foundation funding and community events.

In addition, I have sat on the Senior Management Team of a number of the organisations I have worked for, feeding into the Board with responsibility for strategic direction of the fundraising fuction and can utilise these skills in a voluntary capacity.
