I can do half to one day a week working across some office hours and some out of office hours as necessary.
I have over 22 year fundraising experience across different income streams and 10 years in Trusts Fundraising.
When I started this my latest fundraising role, 10 years ago, there previously had been very little income from Trusts and Foundations and I have established this as a vital form of income for the charity. As part of my role research is key in identify funding opportunities with appropriate organisations, establishing those who are more likely to provide funding to our cause, the type of project they might support and the appropriate level of funding to request. I now manage a database of Trust and Foundations who regularly donate to our charity, as well as researching new ones to approach on an ongoing basis.
As you will see I currently work as a Grants Administrator, which has provided valuable insight and helped me look at fundraising from both sides of the coin.
On a more personal note I'm a warm friendly person with a good sense of humour who can talk to just about anyone. I am passionate about working in the charity sector and like to feel that I am using my skills and knowledge to help give a little back to society and those in need. I am now moving to 4 days a week as a Grants Administrator and will soon be leaving my fundraising role.
I would like to fundraise a few hours a week as a volunteer.
Ideally I would like to do Trust applications for a smaller charity who needs to establish or boost this area of income.
