Work history

About me

Having spent four years fulfilling my childhood dream of being a police officer in one of New Zealand’s most deprived neighbourhoods, I’ve now turned my attention towards addressing one of the largest underlying factors of social dysfunction – poor physical and mental health.

My (borderline obsessive) interest in medicine, combined with my passion for research and group leadership has led me to pursue a career in health and medical research. I also have an interest in management and policy roles within this field.

The skills I developed as a leader in the New Zealand Police, coupled with the technical knowledge I have gained during my postgraduate studies, puts me in an optimal position to lead groups of researchers and analysts towards understanding and solving the complex problems we face in health and medicine.

What am I looking for

I am currently seeking management, policy, or research-related roles in the mental health field. I am also open to other areas of health more generally.
