I have almost 30 years experience in management and IT roles. For the last 10 years, I have been managing and running governance for complex projects involving tight deadlines, changes to multiple systems and a large number of business stakeholders. I'm an excellent problem solver and very skilled in mediating between business and technical teams. I am Prince2 and Agile Scrum Master Qualified. My projects are in investment banking, so I am highly numerate. I also have a lot of skills in data analysis, including writing my own suite of Python tools.
I have served for 3 years on the executive of my local synagogue, with responsibility for the oversight of professional staff and for the conduct of religious services, which often mark significant life events. My main achievement was to streamline the processes by which members engage with the synagogue, and enable them to get more of what they want without compromising the rules of the organisation.
Otherwise, I have served as a business mentor for homeless adults (where I was chosen to make a film) and challenging teenagers, and was a volunteer maths and literacy assistant in Westminster schools. I served in the NHS Covid vaccination program and am currently a Compassionate Friend for the North London Hospice
I want to use my management and analysis skills as a trustee, helping a charity to improve its processes and develop its services. My main passions are education, advocacy, sport and open spaces, but really any aspect of community development is of interest
