Work history

About me

I have run my own business for a number of years, having had a successful career in the public sector both in permanent and consultancy roles, having risen to the level of Director by the age of 40.Whilst in full-time employment I held a range of policy and strategy roles and was fundamental in leading the improvement of several local authorities prior to moving on to similar work in a consultancy / interim role. My experience has enables me to drive the improvement of large local authorities and their partnerships within the public and voluntary sectors, improving their policy, strategy and performance. The highlight of my career was being approached to lead the recovery programme in Haringey Children's Services following the death of Baby P.  Following this I have gone on to lead policy, performance and partnership work at a senior management level within many different local authorities, building an excellent reputation for my style and results. My experience in these roles means that I am confident in reassuring and gaining buy-in from stakeholders, able to lead teams and deliver results across partnerships where there has historically been a lack of trust and am able to provide effective challenge and support in difficult circumstances.  As a trusted for many years, I am also able to work with and build teams in small voluntary organisations, bringing through my senior management skills and experience to help the organisation in rising to its new challenges, setting and delivering a clear strategy or the future, taking staff and volunteers on a new journey. To support my experience I have post graduate qualifications in Public Administration and Change Management as well as holding a Fellowship of the Institute of Leadership & Management and an MSc in Management.I feel that my extensive range of skills are entirely transferable into many organisations who can benefit from my years of experience without the need to pay large consultancy day rates.

What am I looking for

I am interested in leadership roles where I can utilise my extensive management and strategy experience to help smaller, local or community organisations grow and adapt to changing time.
