Executive/board level Human Resources Director with international experience across several business sectors and most recently with Cancer Research UK. Now semi retired and keen to add value/give something back. Significant non-exec and trustee/governance experience including PLC non-exec, FE governance and pension trustees/chair. I have worked with trustee and non-exec boards in my executive director capacity, responsible for the entire people/HR agenda as well as Health & Safety, EDI, Safeguarding, Wellbeing, Audit & Risk. I have managed and led teams for over 30 years and have developed and coached several executive teams. . I have extensive experience of business change including M&A, disposals, down-sizing and strategic reorganisation. I am really motivated to apply my people and commercial skills in a trustee or non-exec capacity and have a sound grasp of complex organisations and governance,
I would ideally like to contribute to the strategic people agenda of a large charitable organisation, learning institution or similar. I don't have anything specific in mind and to a great extent I will be influenced by the cause and the leadership of the organisation.
