I have relevant experience in both qualitative and quantitative research. I have been exposed to data collection, management, project design & development. Working for an ‘all in one’ consulting firm for up to two years has inculcated in me great discipline, healthy work ethics and working with deadlines.
At CEMIRIDE I gained experience in minority rights advocacy and research. I worked with Ogiek people’s development program to draft and publish a report reflecting the current plight of the Ogiek people in Nakuru County. As a program and communication assistant, I helped in liaising between organisations and other stakeholders such as; I also consulted on policy review and championed advocacy for minorities in Kenya.
My earlier research/legal consultant experience at Energy Access Ventures (EAV) Africa had regularly required me to interact with a client base across three countries, excluding Kenya. The process of building a successful relationship with them has given me valuable insight into different cultures which I am sure will come in handy in this role.
I am also a volunteer at Equal Rights Trust where I volunteer my research skills.
I am interested in research, drafting or legal research. I am also able to help in funding needs when it comes to proposal and bid writing. I am enthusiastic about social justice and as such no topic is off the table as long as it is towards improving people's lives.
