Work history

About me

I have recently retired from a full-time career in the arts and Higher Education and am keen to use my experience to continue supporting dance/performing arts. I was a dancer and director alongside university lecturer and, since 2012, head of department at two London universities, Middlesex University and City, University of London. I have amassed considerable management experience in that time alongside creative/research acheivements. I am especially interested in promoting engagement in and the value of arts activity for children and young people. I was the Middlesex lead for the Creative Education Partnership project in the London Borough of Barnet which culminated in the publication of a Cultural Education Strategy in 2022 and the formation of Barnet & Culture for Youth based at artsdepot. I especially enjoyed the opportunity to work with colleagues from multiple arts organisations and schools across the borough.

What am I looking for

Board opportunities with dance/performing arts organisations, principally but not limited to children and young people.

I can offer organisational and management experience including financial management, strategic development and advocacy.
