A soon to retire management consultant, manager, operations exec and training and development specialist with extensive change management experience in small and larger organisations.
My CV shows my core skills. A constant through my career has been development of teams and individuals capabilities, transfer of knowledge and achievement of focussed and targeted outcomes. These are transferable to the volunteer sector as in business.
My primary sphere of work has been in the retail and consumer products sectors working with an extraordinary range of people of all cultures, backgrounds, levels of seniority and personalities and motivations.
I've volunteered for major events (Paralympics 2012 and Commonwealth games 2014 in addition to youth clubs and local sports organisations so understand the differences between business line management and the voluntary sector.
As a management consultant and change manager I've not only had direct authority to instruct actions but very often my skills have been to influence and help others to lead effectively, with coaching and mentoring support, and for them to achieve the results and outcomes.
I'm currently at an early stage of exploration of the sector so am open to most opportunities and sectors. I have some strong personal standards and beliefs and a positive mindset. I'm also particularly inclined to support the development of new capabilities at individual, team or organisational levels.
I'm active in several sports but have additional interests in music and the arts, education and employment
