I am currently a Corporate Partnerships Assistant at Cats Protection with a strong background in account management of our affiliate partners and experience of building relationships with stakeholders. My role allows me to create marketing copy for a variety of partnership campaigns across digital channels such as social media and the website as well as print for the supporter magazine. This has given me strong skills in copywriting and proof reading.
To further my skills, I completed a diploma in marketing with Pitman training for which I received a Distinction. Knowledge gained from this course included how to write a content strategy and writing effective copy to convert customers.
In my spare time, I am a social media volunteer for Cats Protection Brighton branch. I plan and create all posts for their Facebook page. As well as this, I have run my own blog for over 6 years which has developed my love of creating content and sharing my opinions of current trends. More recently, I set up a book instragram account which has gained over 1,500 followers in 6 months. I review books from a variety of genres and have received gifted copies of books from publishers.
I am excited to volunteer as I enjoy my current volunteering role and creating copy is my passion. I also enjoy helping others and believe I have lots of skills which I could bring to this role.
I am interested in content creation roles such as a marketing copywriter, social media content writer and blogger. I have strong copywriting skills and knowledge of all social media platforms and what content works best for each. Having blogged for over 6 years, I am quick to create long form copy and present my ideas in a clear and concise way. I have experience analysing performance metrics to improve content and determining what's worked well. As part of my diploma, I studied principles of SEO and have an understanding of how this can be applied due to applying these practises to my blog.
