Work history

About me

Hello! I am a Canadian expat who has lived in London for the last 10 years. I originally came across to study and have a Masters degree in History of Art. Shortly out of university I started work at an arts education institution as a Programme Coordinator, organising short courses to teach adults art history and theory. I moved across to the charity sector and now work at a social entrepreneurship venture where we source problems from within government and match them to universities around the UK to have students help solve them. In my role as Programme Lead I manage stakeholder relationships in government and industry, practice critical thinking and writing and help manage the university programmes working on government problems.

In my personal life I have a great interest in contemporary art and theatre, running long distances and spending time exploring North London. I have a real passion for education and would love to use my skills in Higher Education to benefit a local charity. I work full-time so would be willing to devote weekends or evenings to volunteering work.

What am I looking for

I am looking for roles that are in the arts, education, animal welfare, or local to my community of NE London.

I will be particularly useful as an organiser, event planner, administrator and general helper where needed. I'm willing to be hands-on and would love to learn by doing. Ideally I would work with a small team before taking more initiative further down the line.

Most of all, I am looking to work for a cause I am passionate about am keen to contribute as much of my free time as possible to supporting a London-based initiative.
