I am a passionate, hardworking Maths and Accountancy student, with excellent communication and organisational skills and an eye for detail who is a full member of the institute of accountants and bookkeeper. I am also currently studying modules towards CIMA, and so far I have passed all but one of CIMA certificate level exams
I am volunteering as a fiancé and accounts manager, and developed a strong working knowledge of Xero, Microsoft Excel and accountancy principles. I process invoices that come in via email on Xero, reconcile transactions and lead a small team of Finance and Accounts Assistants.
In the summer, I am expecting to graduate with a first class or 2.1 in an Open Univeristy mathematics honours degree, which included studying there Fundamentals of Accounting module. In this module I prepared trial balances, balance sheets and income statements using excel. I also answered questions on management accounting such as preparing and reconsolidating budgets. I got a score of 95% in the final exam for this accounting module.
I am looking for another voluntary role, that allow me to pursue my love of accountancy further. All my volunteer work involves effective communication with people and teamwork, and it covers a wide range of settings, from chairing meetings, to volunteering on busy hospital ward and trying to persuade people to vote for me. I’m also a fast learner, hardworking and I really enjoy new challenges.
I am looking to gain some additional voluntary experience in accounting and finace. I am currently studying the final year of my mathematics degree, my final module in CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and volunteering as a finance and accounts manager. I have experience of working in Xero, Excel and have completed some QuickBooks training.
