About me

I am an experienced and efficient Senior manager/Director with a proven track record of developing and managing a range of housing, care and support services and would like to use my skills and experience to benefit local or national charities or community groups.

It is  important  that I feel that I am contributing to society, helping others to reach their potential and providing support when things become difficult.  This has led me to work with a range of services for vulnerable people, to volunteer in my local community and to campaign for improved resources for vulnerable groups.

I have a strong financial background, developing services to be financially viable and sustainable, whilst improving customer experience. My roles have involved business planning and the development of long-term strategies and restructuring, necessitating the gathering and review of complex information and understanding of relevant government policy and research.  Risk management, both statically and operationally,  and relevant policies and procedures are in place have been an important part of my work.

I have been seen as a positive role model and effective ambassador for the organisations that I have represented, developing appropriate links with other agencies and establishing significant internal and external credibility with partners, operational staff and users. 

What am I looking for

My areas of expertise are housing, social care, homelessness, and support services for vulnerable groups.

I would like to offer my time either as a Trustee/NED or to work with management teams on specific tasks for example:

  • Bid writing and tendering
  • Development and restructuring of services
  • Reviewing Health and Safety and Risk Management processes for property, staff and volunteers or/or service users
  • Developing or updating policies and procedures 
  • Completing an independent Quality Assurance review
