About me

I am a qualified teacher and used to teach Business A Level. I am now a Project Manager at Lancaster  University Management School and have a huge interest in the widening participation agenda, hence my application. I started out with no GCSE'S and had to work my way up from scratch at the age of 21 and I want to share my story of success with others and showcase that there is no right path, only a right mindset!

In my early career I worked for a charity that supported adults with learning difficulties and helping charities and volunteering has always remained a passion of mine, as I love to help others.

Skills I can bring are: Change management in complex structures, kaizen, six sigma, PRINCE2 and managing key stakeholders through the use of emotional intelligence. I have just over 3 years experience of what working in the HE sector is like and also have other business sector experience.
