I am a highly experienced Research Specialist who has the Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Award for Employability, Enterprise skills and Commitment to Social Responsibility-University of Hertfordshire. I have a strong background/experience in qualitative/quantitative research, proposal writing, executive presentation, literature reviews, evidence synthesis and data analysis. I am skilled in using NVivo, SPSS and Python. I have conducted surveys, interviews, focus groups, and translated data into impactful reports that inform policy and advocacy. I have contributed to successful grant applications for research funding. My work with diverse populations has reinforced my passion and commitment to voluntary work. One of the voluntary research projects I worked on involved conducting a research on adolescents’ quality of life. I examined the barriers faced by these group and identified policy gaps. I have also worked on several determinants of health, including prostate cancer in young men. My experience as a peer reviewer for international Journals has further deepened my commitment to ensuring research is conducted ethically. My experience working with multidisciplinary teams equips me with the ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to different audiences, ensuring effective collaboration across diverse teams. I am proficient in managing ethics applications, data sharing agreements and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
