Distance isn't a limiter and time is freely given. However reimbursement of travel expenses is normally expected.

 

Senior Investment analyst with major financial institutions for a period of years before moving on to utilise these skills in Business Development Areas across a number of sectors.Worked  with small and medium sized companies in  various Scottish Enterprise Projects in both start up and growth fields.Have also  have run my own retail business successfully before selling it on the staff.

Have also been employed in the charity sector pricipally in the Employment sector setting up projects for individuals requiring assistance to progress.. Have worked with companies on various accreditation processes including IIP and have fund application experience. Recently took a company through the process of becoming a Social Enterprise and gaining  a Quality Mark ( Revolve)

Voluntary work has included chairing PSYBT Glasgow for 5 years and a similar hands on role with a recycling company. Also a Trustee of Impact Funding Support  Fund Scotland. Currently working with  growth companies through Business Mentoring Scotland. Two Treasurer appointments are current although the are not likely to cause any conflict. They are Wellspring Scotland and Forth Valley Sensory Centre.

 

What am I looking for

Core skills are finance and marketing but there is a broad range of skills built up from both the public and private sector. Recent work has been of project management taking two new entrants into new territories and setting the operation up. The second stage of that was establishing and branding the products and services successfully.

Have held three non executive positions and am currently a non executive for a recycling and retailing company. Salaried position has now ceased and I have flexible availability.
