I have over 20 years of experience of leading large teams and managing complex programmes for the UN, private sector, UK Government and NGOs. I am passionate about delivering results for children and women affected by violence, poverty, inequality and injustice. I spent the majority of my career so far working in South-East Asia, sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean, mostly for UNICEF. I am now back in the UK, running a multi-million-pound contract that helps the UK Government respond to natural disasters and conflicts around the world. I miss both the challenges and rewards of direct service delivery to children and women. I also very much want to apply my skills – leadership, advocacy, fundraising, change management, stakeholder management and delivery solutions – to improve the lives of women and children in the UK. I feel I have a lot to offer and a lot to learn and want to get stuck into the cause of tackling poverty and social injustice in the UK.
I am primarily looking for a trustee role that would allow me to apply my skills – leadership, advocacy, fundraising, change management, stakeholder management and delivery solutions – to improve the lives of women and children in the UK. Ideally, I would like to work for a not-for-profit or private sector organisation delivering services for children and women in the greater London area.
