I used to work from home as a Field Service Engineer. My area used to cover Greater Manchester and when on call the whole North West.
I am a 55 year old early retired Computer Engineer who tries to keep up with what is happening in IT generally. I have a Comptia A+ Technician qualification. Its a bit out of date now but Desktop computers and Laptops don't really change that much. They still have the same building blocks? They may be a bit smaller and a lot faster but with much improved software etc. I am familiar with Windows, all Desktop verisons.and PC Hardware generally. I have used Teamviewer to fix faults remotely in the past. I am sorry but I have no IOS and Apple experience.
In this current crisis I would like to help charities and good causes get vital users connected and work from home remotely? Initially I will try remotely but if its urgent I can travel. Urgent cases only at the moment.
