With an enriching career spanning over a decade in clinical medicine, research, and public health and emergency response, I've had the privilege of being part of dynamic teams and overseeing multifaceted projects across various environments - from WHO endeavours to pivotal roles within NGOs and international research groups. My passion lies in forging pathways to enhanced health outcomes and quality of life, particularly for underserved populations in LMICs and globally. My journey has taken me through the diverse landscapes of Africa, Asia, the U.S. and Europe, engaging deeply with communities to combat health crises, non-communicable diseases, and the repercussions of public health emergencies.
Now resettled in the U.K., I aspire to blend my international experience with local knowledge, contributing to alleviating health inequities and championing the cause of public health and social justice within the U.K. With expertise in leadership, global health advocacy, strategic planning, program management and policy writing, I am eager to pivot these competencies towards making a tangible difference.
I aim to leverage my comprehensive skills in stakeholder engagement, policy formulation, advocacy, sustainable solution delivery, strategic planning, and management while learning and adapting to the nuances of the UK’s health and social care landscape. My goal is to be at the forefront of initiatives that strive to bridge health disparities and foster a society where equality in health and wellbeing is not just aspirational but a realized norm.
