About me

With a background in IT before retraining as a teacher, I have spent two decades helping organisations use digital tools to leverage positive change. A qualified Apple Professional Learning Specialist, Microsoft Innovative Educator and Barefoot Computing advocate, I am currently a Digital Development Officer delivering 40,000 device deployment & training across Edinburgh schools.

Recently, I was responsible for adopting Agile methodologies and leading the learning and development of a team of 87 teaching staff working across the council to close Covid-related Attainment Gaps. My passion is for a more equitable society where digital citizens can access all the resources, services and information they need to engage fully in their local community.

Away from the desk, I'm a passionate advocate for the outdoors, with over 20 years experience working with young people and charity groups to explore life beyond the comfort zone. Experience in leading groups in Arctic and high altitude environments, event management (including charity walks, runs and cycles, and Scotland's largest trail running festival), managing participant experience, systems and data capture, route breaking and mapping.

What am I looking for

I'm looking to help organisations leverage digital for equity, improve access to Scotland's services and/or promote the outdoors to improve mental health and fitness.
