I have been working in IT and network management related technologies for over 20 years in the education and charity sector ensuring smooth day to day operations and developing long term improvements and implementing new technologies.
Also, over the past 10 years, I have been heavily involved in the maker community, working with local and national organisations. This involvement has led me to develop a number of working partnerships with businesses, live events, art organisations and a local university.
I have also developed my own consultancy business over the last five years consulting on a variety of projects including 3D printing, CNC, electronics, woodwork and metalwork. I have started the UK’s first 3dMeetup event, growing to a two-day event in 2019. Through my consultancy and work with Birmingham's maker space, I have had the opportunity to engage with local and national organisations. This involvement has led to me establishing and developing partnerships with businesses, live events, maker and art organisations. I have worked with Backface leading 3D printing and scanning company at the NEC and London ExCeL centre events. I am committed to continuing to work on exciting public engagement projects. I run Raspberry Pi workshops for several arts organisations including the Future C U R I O U S festival at the MAC Birmingham.
I am currently relocating to the Cardiff area and I am incredibly keen to get involved with the community. and have recently started a new role in mountain ash.
