SEO audit (short term project)

Part of the Volunteer Projects Library

What is it?

SEO (Search engine optimisation) is crucial if you want to improve (or even just maintain) your website’s ranking on Google and other search engines. SEO involves a combination of improving website content, ensuring you have the right technical structure to your pages, as well as building up links to your site from trustworthy and relevant sources.

What will this person do?

The SEO expert will review your site’s content, technical structure and inbound links. They will provide actionable steps to help you to improve your search engine ranking.

Who needs this?

Anyone who wants to increase organic traffic to their website and who wants to understand actionable steps to achieve this.

Who is involved?

The SEO volunteer should be supported by a senior member of the digital or marketing teams, or the person maintaining or populating your website. The volunteer will need help getting to know your organisation and your goals. They will need access to Google Analytics (if you have this set up) as well as an understanding of your target audience.

How long will it take?

Depending on the size of our site, roughly 10-25 hours over 2-4 weeks.
