After successfully delivering a free mobile counselling and drop in service for disadvantaged residents of Kingston Upon Thames, the organisation has a clear aim of delivering the service on a much larger scale. We were about to expand the pilot, working alongside a reputable business, but due to Covid 19, it has been delayed.
As a response to social distancing and the lockdown measures put in place by government, YourSpaceTime has set up an online and telephone service so customers can continue to access the service.
We are living in unprecedented times, where the economic and social impact is still unknown. We want to be best prepared for our return to a new normal and with the future looking uncertain, counselling will play an integral part in helping many with what has and is, about to happen.
The original pilot was funded by a grant from The Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Director is a recipient of the Ideas & Pioneers award and has since been referred on to The School for Social Entrepreneurs for continued support.
The pilot provided a counselling service from a luxury motorhome for 3 days of the week, to a local estate, a secondary school and a drop in service, in Kingston Upon Thames.
