Young People's Shop (YPS) is a free and confidential service that supports young people aged 11 to 25 with their emotional well-being and mental health needs. While based in Chichester, we aim to ensure that every young person in the west of West Sussex can access the help and advice they need when needed.

YPS provides a range of services, including:

  • Open-ended Emotional Support sessions and therapeutic counselling: We offer regular therapy sessions that can last as long as needed, unlike other services with limited sessions.
  • Drop-in information and advice: We can signpost to other services and help you with any issues, such as health and sexual health, housing and homelessness, education, training and employment, justice and equality, family and relationships, money matters, and emotional support.
  • Outreach project: We visit events, schools, colleges, and universities in the community and run small group workshops, including self-esteem, anxiety, employment skills, self-care, and well-being. We also offer activities such as yoga, bushcraft, and creative art therapy.
  • Holistic support: We are the only service in the area to offer long-term emotional support and practical advice under one roof. We can support you with any challenges you might face and help you to achieve your goals in life.
