Young People Count (YPC) is a youth charity operating in Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire, and targeting the 11-18 age group. YPC was created in 2013 to provide services and support for young people in the town and surrounding villages, and will open its new dedicated building in the town centre in 2021. It is looking to provide a creative space, with a cafe bar, a VR room, opportunities for support and advice, and a lot of fun including gaming. Our slogan is "a place to chat, chill and create". We want to offer regular opening hours so we need volunteers to help operate the space and people to help deliver activities.
We operate a youth venue in the town centre, restoring a facility lost in 2013. Through this dedicated space, YPC wants to provide a great new place for young people to enjoy visiting and gain new skills, confidence and opportunities. We are also committed to working in partnership with lots of organisations in East Yorkshire to help reach the 11-18 market.
