Young at Heart supports families under the care of Birmingham Children's Hospital Cardiac Unit 

Many of our families spend many weeks or months in hospital, with babies and children with serious and complex heart condition. 

Open heart surgery is often carried out during the first few weeks of being born and many require several further open heart surgeries as a child 

The Charity is run purely  by volunteers who are all heart parents under the care of Birmingham Children's Hospital Cardiac Unit 

Our aim is to support these families in hospital and at home and bring families together so they know they are not alone.

We also supply vital pieces of medical equipment.
