Objectives

Here at Yorkshire Building Society, we are committed to building an environmentally and financially sustainable future for our members, colleagues, and communities across the UK. At the end of 2022 we had total assets of £52.7bn and nearly 3 million members. The Yorkshire Building Society and its members and colleagues fund the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation, which is a registered charity (Registered Charity Number 1069082) and independent of the Yorkshire Building Society. Since 1999 the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation has donated more than £9m to charities and good causes across the UK with an aim to improve health, save lives, and alleviate poverty.

Activities

In 2022 the Foundation donated over £315,000 to 230 charities and donated a further £100,000 to charities supporting vulnerable people and minority groups with financial and digital inclusion, and has donated over £9m since it was founded in 1998.
