Objectives

Yorkshire Adoption Agency is a charitable voluntary adoption agency based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.  We formed in 1946 to help place orphaned children following WW2. The Agency is a child focused organisation which aims to recruit, train and approve adoptive parents for vulnerable children who are Looked After by Local Authorities throughout the UK.  We offer bespoke training to our volunteers, prospective and approved adopters to ensure we provide relevant and up to date support for our children and their new families for the rest of their lives. We also enjoy hosting family events and focus groups for our families to encourage networking and mutual support.

Activities

- The management team regularly review our practices to ensure we are providing the best service possible.

- We encourage feedback from our adopters, prospective adopters, volunteers and staff to inform the running of the day to day business.

- Our Trustees meet on a regular basis to review the Agency's progress.

- We meet regularly as a team to ensure synchronicity  in the way we are working and to discuss new ideas and suggestions relating to the improvement of the Agency's policies and procedures.
