To enhance the development and education of children between the ages of 2 and reception age through play.
To provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment in which to mix with other children, and learn techniques and social skills that will enable them to adapt to school life with ease.
To work in partnership with parents and carers to achieve this.
We have a lovely team of caring staff with many years experience in childcare environments. They carefully plan the sessions and through talking with and listening to the children, they are able to tailor these to reflect individual interests and developmental needs.
In each session children can choose from and work at a range of activities to build up and and work through a task to completion. Children are also helped and encouraged to take part in adult-led small and large group activities. This introduces them to new activities helps them gain new skills, and learn to work with others.
We very much recognise the benefits of outdoor activities in contributing to children's health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them. In every session the children have access to and are encouraged to take part in outdoor activities both child-chosen and adult-led.
Each child has a nominated key-worker, although due to being a small organisation all the staff know the children well and build strong relationships with parents and carers. Parents are welcome to stay for sessions and invited to participate in events throughout the academic year.
