Objectives

We are a local community radio which braodcasts online & on 102.5fm to the Newcastle/Gateshead region. We are dedicated to providing a local service which supports local groups & activities.

There are many way which we give this support:

Developing new skills.
Training people with any level of experience on a range of subjects related to radio broadcasting.
Building confidence.
As a creative outlet.
Giving local news updates.
Promoting local group activities.
Raising awareness of local issues.
Attending local events and supporting with PA syatems for music & announcements

Activities

In order to meet these objectives we have the following in place:

Two studios
- Studio One dedicated to providing a 24hr local broadcasting . Contents include interviewing local groups, new music shows, older voices show, breakfast show, drive time show. All of which give out local information and promote local activities.
- Studio Two recently opened from expansion of Nova Radio. This has been opened to cope with the increasing level of volunteers coming through.
We attend local events and assist in the running by providing live music & a platform for putting out announcements throughout the event.
