Objectives

The World Association of Girl Guide and Girl Scouts’ (WAGGGS’) mission is to enable girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world.  Working for and with 146 Member Organizations, and 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from around the world, we are the largest global voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women.  WAGGGS supports our Member Organizations to deliver millions of hours of non-formal education every year. We work with girls and governments to bring an end to violence against girls. We run an inspiring leadership programme for young women, with a growing e-learning capability, and work in partnership with Dove to raise girls’ self-esteem. We are led by a global board of volunteers and that powerful, volunteer-led ethos has been connecting our far-reaching aspirations with the lives and hopes of girls and young women in diverse countries and communities for more than over 100 years.
