Wolfies Legacy is a registered charity for disabled dogs,as well as taking dogs from all over the world to rehabilitate and rehome;it is our aim to help the general public. How we do this is to provide a companion for someone who is living alone and wanting a dog,but finding they are turned away by all other rescue organisations. One example is Gareth, who retired from the army after fourteen years, due to injuries.Gareth found life on the outside very different, his marriage suffered and he consequently took an overdose of morphine;in an attempt to kill himself. Three weeks in intensive care, then another in a psychiatric unit and Gareth was moved to a small flat in a facility set up by a charity for people with mental health disorders.Gareth was so alone, and wanted a dog which was allowed;but service dogs are larger breeds and so Gareth came to Wolfies for a companion, and as he walked with a cane and was slower;he adopted Kara a little tripaw female. This was Gareths happy ever after.Wolfies Legacy has many such stories, why not join us and become part of the fairytale.
Our objectives are met by constantly working to match a dog to its human family.A great many people are looking for a certain type of dog, with characteristics that compliment their own.If we don't have the right dog at the time, the family or person is kept on file until their match arrives. This never takes long. Our aim is happy people and happy dogs.We always achieve. We have found many homes with autistic children seek us out and as everyone knows dogs have an affinity with children with autism.
