Wisdom Community Centre is a community resource centre offering diverse services for individuals and families. Wisdom Community Centre provides free, holistic, counselling and advisory preventative and remedial services to victims of domestic violence, individuals in crisis, youth mentoring, career development, employability strategies, family conflict resolution and mediation services.
Wisdom Community Centre provides holistic counselling and advisory services to individuals and families. Our service provision includes Women Support Group including women who are victims of domestic violence, Wise Youth Academy (for 12-19 year olds), M.E.N (Men Empowerment Network), Financial Literacy (Debt-Bursting workshops/seminars), ESOL, Career Development and Empowerment Scheme, etc.
The aim of our service provision is to make a difference in lives by empowering individuals to maximise their potentials and optimise their gifting and talents. We believe each individual has the potentials to attain heights to the best of their abilities and we endeavour to work with them on a one on one basis to actualise their dreams.
Our service provision includes Empowerment Therapy through counselling and workshops, Family reconciliation sessions, Debt Buster seminars, training and education sessions to raise awareness of domestic violence and the detrimental effect on the family and society at large, workshops on confidence and low self-esteem boosters, and acquisition of marketable lifelong skills through cohesive partnership with other service providers. We also serve as a Resource and Information centre for the community.
Our services provision is a much needed resource as it enables individuals and families to benefit from a free service which they would otherwise have paid hundreds of pounds for. In addition, we have contributed immensely to the enriching and enhancing skills of those who fall into the category of the unemployed (approx 5,000 people from different walks of life ranging from 18-60year olds) by providing work experience for them from Jan 2013 - April 2016. Some of them have gone on to being gainfully employed based on the outstanding reference they received from us.
