William Blake House (WBH) offers accommodation and activities to the 14 young adults with learning disabilities who can live, learn and work with others in healthy social relationships based upon mutual care and respect. WBH is inspired by the ideals of Rudolf Steiner, based on the acceptance of spiritual uniqueness of each human being, regardless of disability or religious or racial background. The residents live in 3 houses in 2 Northamptonshire villages. Care is provided by a mixture of paid staff and young volunteers, who come from a diverse range of nationalities and cultural backgrounds. In order to create the atmosphere of a family home, rather than an institution, no more than 5 residents live in each house.
