The vision of West Silvertown Foundation is of a vibrant, integrated community where ambitions are realised and friendships thrive. The Mission of WSF is working together to build community and enrich lives through shared opportunities for participation, inclusion, learning, generosity and good health.
The values of WSF are encouraging cohesion, embracing change, enabling connection and building confidence. We manage Britannia Village Hall, which is the only community centre in West Silvertown, providing activities for children and families, youth and community groups.
Our range of activities include delivery of a twice weekly youth club, summer playscheme, regular parent and toddler activities, a community breakfast which includes a job support element, exercise classes and Councillor surgeries. We also facilitate
community use by other groups, including leasing areas of the Village Hall, enabling the provision of a GP practice, a nursery and an after school club.
The central purpose of WSF is to engage and encourage all local stakeholders to work together to further the interests of the Britannia Village / Royal Docks area and build a real sense of community for the benefit of all. WSF is also the only provider of community led young peoples services in the area.
