Our organisation is a social enterprise/possible charity- supporting individuals and their families retain or regain independence and, working towards ending isolation.
We provide assistance and support where it's needed most. Whether a little help around the house, assistance with getting from A to B (an appointment, a visit to a friend of a trip to the shops) or if one would simply enjoy some regular company from a friendly face, we're here.
Our help matters for people who find themselves on their own for whatever reason. We can LISTEN and our work is scheduled so that we always have TIME - we're not clock watching.
So far we have clients:-
In high rise flats unable to carry heavy shopping due to old age and illness - we do an internet shop for them
A family concerned about their parents - father being housebound and mother being the carer and not getting respite
A young mother with 2 children with learning difficulties - we help with the thorny path of the education system - helping to understand and progress their learning
A gentleman whose son is abroad and we go in 4 times a week to tidy up, make meals and make sure he's ok. Chat is a HUGE part of our work
A gentleman who is housebound and his wife still has an active social life which we assist her in maintaining it. It also gives her husband conversation with her when she comes home.
