WPI seeks to widen access to high quality psychotherapy throughout Wales. We aim to:

1. Train psychotherapists and counsellors to the highest professional standards in the UK.

2. Deliver high quality effective therapeutic interventions to people otherwise unable to access psychotherapy through the Affordable Therapy Service.

3. Provide creative leadership in the field of psychotherapy and counselling in Wales through our developing network of graduates and professional colleagues.

4.Promote standards of best practice regarding the mental health and wellbeing of people in line with The Welsh Assembly Government's stated policy aims and objectives.
