Objectives

W.E.L.Safe CIC is a not for profit organisation that provides confidential and non-judgemental information and support around issues such as drugs and alcohol, mental health and wellbeing and sexual health at festivals and events across the UK and Europe.

Volunteers will offer support to people who are attending the event who may need a space to recuperate, relax or chat in confidential space away from the full impact of the night or event.

Our aim is to enable service users to stay safe at festival and events and to offer support to people who may be experiencing problems as a result of their use of drugs and/or alcohol, as well as helping to reduce harm and risk taking behaviour for each individual and into the wider society. We work to a harm reduction model in drugs&alcohol, support in spiking, sexual health, mental health and well-being. We provide a safe space for all.

W.E.L.Safe will be delivering welfare, ensuring event goers are staying safe and enjoying their experience, by offering a place to chill out and relax, recuperate if under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, get guidance and information around harm reduction, support with mental health at events, a safe space if people are feeling vulnerable and being able to chat with a friendly non-judgemental face.

Activities

W.E.L.Safe provides a safe space at all its events. Volunteers will support people throughout the event in the designated area or in outreach teams. We work closely with the onsite medical team, security and event management to ensure attendees have a safe, enjoyable experience.
