Activities

We have a wide range of activities to help people stay fit, and to mix with others. These include dance aimed at all levels of ability and times of day to suit different needs.

  • Art
  • Dress making
  • Pilates
  • Sword fencing
  • Gentle exercise
  • Yoga

17 of these are in the day time and have a focus on older people, however we do not exclude other ages as we emphasis integration. Many of these are run by the users. We have the largest volunteer legal advice service in the country, helping about 90 people/ families each Thursday evening , a some day time welfare benefits provision .  Local volunteers run reception/ information desk weekdays , Monday to Fridays.  A few activities are run by people in languages other than English. We work with a wide range of other community projects. Friendships form, loneliness is counteracted, and many people love being able to contribute to the running of activities.
