Objectives

Walworth Garden is a South London Charity whose mission is to improve lives by providing excellent learning and horticultural therapy through a garden that’s open to all. We aim to be a highly stimulating, valued and life enhancing garden that’s sustainable and growing for the future.

Activities

Our QCF accredited Horticultural Training helps those who are furthest from employment to gain confidence and most importantly a qualification.

Once qualified our Garden Services Division recruits Apprentices and Trainee Gardeners to work on the gardens of Southwark and beyond. Our aim is to broaden skill set, empower and raise confidence so that our trainees go on to lifelong careers in horticulture.

Using the skills of each team member, our Garden Services Division clear, maintain, plant, design and construct an array of gardens for both public and private clients.

Our Horticultural Therapy offer, 'GROW!' tackles loneliness, isolation, mental health and improves well-being.

We facilitate a wide selection of adult learning workshops run throughout the year on subjects centreing around the environment, health and wellbeing. These include Herbal Medicine, Essential Oils and Aromatherapy, Yoga, Beekeeping, Focusing, Natural Cosmetic Making, Gardening and more.

Open to everyone 7 days a week, our award-winning community garden and garden centre, operates on organic principles and provides a tranquil oasis in the heart of Southwark.
