Objectives

Wales and Africa Health Links Network (WaAHLN) is a charity whose purpose is the promotion and protection of good health in Africa and Wales in particular but not exclusively by establishing partnerships between health workers in Wales and Africa. Convened initially as a Network in 2006, the Charity was formally established in 2013 Building on our strong relationships with the NHS, we are particularly focused on mutual learning and capacity building.

Wales is a small country, but we have committed ourselves to global responsibility through the Well Being of Future Generations Act. We want to do our bit in solidarity with our fellow health workers to help build capacity and access to Universal Health services in Africa.
