Objectives

The VTCT Foundation supports people with a visible difference/disfigurement. Visible differences come from a wide a variety of causes - congenital defects, accident, trauma, and as a side effect of other conditions. The Foundation helps by funding research into the causes, treatment and long term impact of visible difference and by funding charities that provide support to individuals affected by visible difference. It is estimated that there are over 1 million people with a visible difference and our help provides interventions that have been proven to work and encourages new areas of research.

Activities

The VTCT Foundation provides small and large grants to fund ground breaking research and evidence based support for people with a visible difference. It also funds the Appearance Collective which provides workshops and access to research for organisations supporting people with a visible difference.

The Foundation received an endowment when it was set up and is not fundraising, therefore it will close when the endowment has been spent.
