The Voodoo Park Trust aims to create equal opportunities for disadvantaged women around the world by increasing access to education and training as well as finance for those starting up or growing their businesses. We seek to build a more inclusive and equitable global economy to benefit our communities.
The funds that we raise are granted to partner charities who do community work with skills based training and supporting women entrepreneurs to set up ventures in rural communities in Nepal and Guatemala. Our partners have specialist regional knowledge and experience of helping women achieve their potential. This means the Voodoo Park Trust can maximise the impact it has on changing lives.
The Voodoo Park Trust also aims to challenge and break down the social and economic constructs that allow gender-based inequality to persist. We believe that if we can change or remove the systems that prevent women from reaching their potential then we will spur on equality and achieve more as a society.
We are a grant maker. Our partner charities are EWN in Nepal, which provides skills-based training for women joining the tourism industry and Friendship Bridge in Guatemala who help women who are setting up businesses access finance, education and health services.
