Objectives

Mission

To expose the corruption and injustices faced by British citizens arbitrarily imprisoned by government departments in the Philippines including the NBI, PNP and particularly Immigration.

To raise awareness of these issues in the Philippines and the UK, and confront the authorities with them in order to have the law followed or amended as appropriate.

To support foreigners arbitrarily detained in the Philippines.

 

Aims

To eliminate or at least reduce the frequency and duration of arbitrary detention in the Philippines.

To encourage the Philippine government to update archaic laws, in particular the 1940 Immigration Act systematically used to override the constitutional and human rights of foreigners.

Activities

To reduce or eliminate the physical and mental health damage to British citizens and their families caused by arbitrary imprisonment in the Philippines.

To reduce or eliminate the cost to the NHS of deportees returning to the UK who have suffered physical and mental health damage from arbitrary imprisonment and deportation.
