Geographical remit:

We provide information, advice and community advocacy to help people living in our communities in Buckinghamshire to find the practical services and support that will enable them to remain living at home.  Our beneficiaries are older people and people with learning difficulties, mental health difficulties and physical disabilities.  With our support our beneficiaries can find the services that are important to them.  Our volunteer are trained and supported to visit people at home and provide advice and advocacy for as long as it is required.   Our volunteers have helped people find services to make adaptations to their homes, sort out the garden, and find home care services to meet their needs.   We can support people speaking to social services and health services, talk to housing providers, help sort out paperwork.  Our work has enabled our beneficiaries to feel settled at home and sort out difficulties which upset them, often so they can feel more confident in the future.

We train our volunteer advisors and advocates to support people make informed choices about their support need.

We provide telephone information and volunteers who visit people in their own homes to provide as much support people need to find the services they want and to have a voice about the decisions they are making.

We are developing our website to provide up-to-date information about local and national initiatives that have an impact on their lives and we are creating a series of relevant articles to provide links to additional information and providers who can help further.
