UCEP is a registered UK, not for profit, charity set up to pay school fees and provide additional support for children from disadvantaged families in very poor communities in West Africa.
UCEP has a village -based focus. Through our teams working in each community we serve, we actively engage parents, teachers and community leaders in ensuring that our pupils get formal education, are safeguarded and receive good citizenship coaching and mentoring.
In West Africa, we now have a growing generation of children living in communities where they see poverty, violence and child exploitation as normal. Worse still, because of the lack of education, children are often denied the opportunity of hope. Hope is that priceless commodity that every child should have but are often denied.
We raise funds and manage the entire process of ensuring that our pupils receive school fees and other support materials. We also engage them in programmes for good character development so that they stand the chance of becoming good citizens and as a result help to positively influence their peers and community at large.
